TOWNSHIP OF CARLTON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A crash between a vehicle and a school bus Tuesday in Kewaunee County left one person wounded.
It happened at about 3:20 p.m. in the township of Carlton, when a Kewaunee School District bus was stopped at a residence on State Highway 42, south of Townline Road.
According to the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department, an 18-year-old Two Rivers man was traveling southbound on STH 42 when he “ran into the back of the school bus.” He was injured and taken to a hospital.
Approximately 30 students were on the bus at the time of the crash, but occupants reported only minor injuries. None needed to be transported to hospitals.
STH 42 was shut down for approximately three hours.
Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department with the investigation.
