NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — City attorney David Rashid has been placed on administrative leave following the filing of three criminal counts against him.
“As this is an open investigation, it would be inappropriate for the City of Neenah to provide further comment at this time,” Mayor Jane Lang wrote in a news release.
Online court records indicate Rashid, 61, was charged with two counts of domestic abuse third-degree sexual assault and one count of domestic abuse fourth-degree sexual assault.
While the charges were filed in Winnebago County court Tuesday, the offense dates are listed as 2017, 2020 and 2022.
The Portage County District Attorney’s Office is handling the prosecution.
Rashid is due in court May 13.
