The Milwaukee Brewers snapped a three game skid and drew even in their three game set with the Tampa Bay Rays with an 8-2 victory at American Family Field Tuesday night. Willy Adames cracked a three run homer in the 5th inning and Brice Turang went 2 for 3 with three runs driven in. Starter Freddy Peralta had another strong outing giving up only a solo home run to Jose Siri in the third. Peralta’s game was cut short when he faced Siri again in the top of the sixth. With a 3-0 count, Peralta hit Siri with a pitch and was immediately ejected without warning. That drew Manager Pat Murphy out of the dugout and he was thrown out for the second consecutive game. Tempers boiled over in the 8th inning, again involving Siri. Reliever Abner Uribe covered first on a grounder to Rhys Hoskins. Uribe and Siri brushed shoulders at the bag, exchanged words and then both players took swings at each other which emptied the benches as the brawl moved down the first base line until order was restored and Uribe made it three ejections on the night for the Crew. Another highlight was the big league debut of Tyler Black. Called up Tuesday morning, Black entered the game as a pinch runner for designated hitter Gary Sanchez who tweaked a hamstring. Black stayed in the went 2 for 4 in his major league debut. After getting the call-up, Black called his parents vacationing in Mexico and they were able to book a flight and make it to the stadium to witness the debut. The Brewers move to 18-11 and with the Mets beating the Cubs 4-2, they also move back into first place in the NL Central by a half game. Colin Rea will face Zach Eflin in the series finale in Milwaukee. Pre-game coverage begins at 11:35 AM with a 12:10 PM first pitch on WNFL.
