TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The search for missing 3-year-old boy Elijah Vue has taken police to land, air and water around Two Rivers.
Capt. Andrew Raatz released an update Friday afternoon. He wrote that over the past two weeks, officers have used kayaks and sonar equipment to search waterways for Vue.
State and county investigators have helped police search farmland, with the permission of area farmers.
Drone operators as well as the FBI conducted searches by air.
Last week, Police Chief Ben Meinnert said the search was concentrated in a 15-20-square-mile area around Two Rivers.
Elijah Vue was reported missing Feb. 20. At the time of his disappearance he was staying with his mother’s boyfriend, Jesse Vang.
Both Vang and Elijah’s mother, Katrina Baur, have pleaded not guilty to child neglect charges.
Family members looking for Elijah are holding a fundraiser Friday evening at 6 p.m. at the Mikadow Theatre in Manitowoc.
