This was one that got away from the Milwaukee Bucks. Playing without LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers rallied from 18 points down in the second half to outlast the Bucks 128-124 in a double overtime thriller at Fiserv Forum Tuesday night. The Lakes outscored the Bucks 27-13 in the 4th quarter to force overtime. At the end of the first extra period, the Bucks almost pulled off an inbounds game winning play but Khris Middleton’s lob to Giannis Antetokounmpo at the rim was mishandled by the big man and the Lakers finished off the rally in the second OT. Antetokounmpo put up 29 points with 21 rebounds, Damian Lillard finished with 27, Malik Beasley added 21 and Bobby Portis delivered an 18 point, 13 rebound double-double. Los Angeles got 92 of their 128 points from three players. Anthony Davis piled up 34 points with a whopping 23 rebounds while D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves each contributed 29. Reaves finished with a triple double and knocked down clutch three point hoops down the stretch. The Bucks slip to 46-26 with the disappointing loss and they’ll be out on the road to take on the Pelicans in New Orleans on Thursday night.
