GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An exhibit that’s turning trash into treasure is making waves at the Green Bay Botanical Garden.
Visitors to the garden will see several sculptures this season that are part of the Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea experience by Dar Stumpf & Clyde Reed.
This traveling exhibit features nine larger-than-life sculptures of animals made from trash and debris washed up from the Pacific Ocean.
Sculptures will have educational signs highlighting facts about each animal, how plastic affects their environment and wellbeing, and everyday actions that can help make a difference. In addition to the exhibit, guests can enjoy a variety of family-friendly drop-in activities mixing ocean, pollution, and play throughout the garden.
