
Ryan Zellner (Wisconsin DOC)
MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) โ Ryan Zellner, a former teacher who was sentenced to 15 years in prison for having inappropriate sexual relations with students at the high schools where he taught, will be released from prison next week.
According to the โSex Offender Information Bulletinโ provided by the Manitowoc Police Dept., Zellner will live at 1118 S. 19th Street, Manitowoc.
โThis notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public. Sex offenders have always lived in our communities; but it was not until the Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Law was enacted that law enforcement was able to share this information with the community. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will NOT be tolerated,โ the notice states.
Zellner, now 47, is on extended supervision until March 30, 2046. He will remain on the sex offender registry for the rest of his life.
Zellnerโs charges were based on inappropriate sexual relations Zellner had with students from Kiel, West De Pere and Green Bay Southwest high schools over an eight-year span. There were 11 victims. He was sentenced on May 12, 2011.
